The Japan Digital Research Center (JDRC) of the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies develops and manages a distinctive, interdisciplinary, responsive digital research collection at the Fung Library in support of Japan-related academic and teaching programs.
This includes identifying innovative and evolving digital tools and resources that advance scholarly investigation, while also building on current services and collections across the Harvard Library system.
The JDRC is home to two digital archiving projects:
- Japan Disasters Archives, which was created in the wake of the 2011 triple disaster and its aftermath
- Constitutional Revision Research Project
The JDRC and Reischauer Institute work closely with faculty, technology support, and other partners to maintain and develop these resources for research, teaching, and outreach to the larger worldwide community.
